An early morning some years ago, our founder Amalie who at the time worked on a shark conservation project in Fiji, went diving. On this particular dive, she found a little treasure to bring back to the surface. In a part of the reef with a sandy bottom, Amalie found a large bull shark tooth lying on top of the sand in a ray of sunlight. During her time in Fiji, she learned about the shark trade and that many sharks are killed for their teeth as well as their fins, skin, and oily livers. Unfortunately, many tourists are supporting the killing of sharks when purchasing shark tooth jewelry made from real teeth. Amalie decided years later to create a shark tooth necklace that would not harm any sharks but just portrait their beauty. We created a mold from the tooth that she found, many years ago while diving, so that her memories of Fiji could be cast eternally into a necklace.

All our products are made from 100% certified recycled gold and silver, shipped in FSC-labeled jewelry boxes produced locally in Denmark. Our shipping packaging is 100% plastic-free, and for each piece of jewelry sold we support coral reef restoration.
For every jewelry item sold, $3 USD is donated to our coral reef restoration partner in Bali.
Recycled metals
All our pieces are made from recycled metals, primarily recycled gold and recycled 925 silver.
Our manufacturers are members of RJC the responsible jewellery council, ensuring high environmental standards and fair wages.
Furthermore, we are subject to the Danish precious metal control (Ædelmetalkontrollen), ensuring our pieces are at to the highest of standards.
Packaging
All our jewellery pieces are sent in VANDAYA jewellery boxes. Our jewellery boxes are FSC-certified and made from 70% recycled paper. They are locally produced in Denmark.
FSC® is the environmental label for responsible forestry and is your guarantee that the used material originates from an FSC®-certified forest, where no more trees are harvested than the forest can reproduce.
This also means that the wildlife and plant life in these forests are protected, and the forestry workers are trained, equipped with proper safety gear, and receive a fair wage.
